In this striking design project we remodeled the heart of the home: the great room, kitchen, laundry and entry. We freshened the spaces with new flooring, countertops, hardware, cabinetry in the laundry room, and all new furnishings. With the media wall, we converted the space into a gallery wall with a combination of new abstract paintings, including one from Barry Lantz, and mid century art framed in gold gilt frames. This mix gave a patina-look and authenticity to the space. The client loved the juxtaposition of grays with gold and cool with the warm - we leaned in to that color story.
The space features custom-upholstered furniture pieces that exude elegance and comfort. Heavy, rich drapery adds a sense of grandeur and sophistication to the rooms. Every element in the design has been carefully chosen to harmonize with the sophisticated palette, resulting in a cohesive and visually captivating environment.
